The CNN Money team is looking for a Multiplatform Editor in San Francisco or Los Angeles who will play a key role on the MoneyStream team, focusing on covering companies, business personalities, markets, tech and the economy. Be part of a digital startup within CNN, the global leader in news.
What will you be doing?
- Covering breaking news
- Discovering the most important and interesting stories of the day
- Writing compelling stories and the headlines that sell them
- Finding ever more creative ways to tell stories
- Working closely with writers, video and TV journalists, designers, and programmers to ensure your stories are seen by millions
- Ensure editorial integrity across all platforms, confirming the editorial “voice” is in line with the overall direction set for the site(s)
- Conceptualize and executes user-driven strategies on social platforms through organic and paid social seeding
- Collaborating with teams large and small to assist the growing CNNMoney newsroom.
What do we need from you?
- Ideal candidates will have 4-plus years of writing and reporting experience.
- Strong research, interviewing and writing skills.
- Some knowledge of financial markets and a keen interest in investing and business news.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast high pressure environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Television-Film Production, Communications, or related discipline or equivalent work experience
