CNN International is seeking a writer to deliver smart, engaging scripts that transform complex business stories into bold, distinctive television for our program Quest Means Business.
Your Role Accountabilities…
- Research, and write compelling, conversational anchor copy for CNNI newscasts.
- Collaborate with Producers on content, formatting scripts, viewing video and graphic elements, and finding relevant sources.
- Write stories on a variety of topics, including leading international and business news

- Pitch original segments and treatments for stories
- Effectively coordinate script, live shot and interview elements with APs and/or Producer
- Communicate effectively with remote teams in Atlanta/London
- Support New York anchors
Qualifications & Experience…
- Must have a BA or equivalent work experience.
- Three years of newsroom experience, including at least one year of experience as a full-time newsroom writer or successful completion of writer training in a CNN newsroom.
- It is important for the candidate to have a thorough understanding and proven experience in handling international stories.
- Successful candidates will demonstrate an active interest in business news
- Must have the flexibility to work different shifts including evenings, overnights and weekends.
