CNBC seeks an experienced Senior Producer to spearhead production of multiple hour business news show.
The Senior Producer will oversee the content of the show, help with promotions, as well as manage the production staff.
Qualifications/Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 5 – 7 years of experience producing in a live television environment, with at least half of that experience producing segments in a financial or business news setting. Must have the ability to line produce and have strong interpersonal & team building skills. Must have previous experience and success with Talent Management. Candidate also need to be able to work well with on-air talent and be able to coach and management them.
Desired Characteristics
In addition to the basic requirements, the ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of financial news and personal finance topics, as well as an appreciation for broader culture –geopolitical events, film and music, literature, sports & more. Ideal candidates will also be creative thinkers with excellent writing and analytical skills. The ability to maintain high-production standards by using innovative animations, graphics and segment ideas is critical, as is the ability to make creative use of video and sound.
