The news associate would assist CNBC news producers in the coordination of elements for daily live Business Day program.
Job requirements include an ability to find background information on a wide range of business, financial news stories, using a variety of sources such as the Internet, newspapers, and magazines. Assist producers with basic story production and pre-interviews. Generate charts and graphs in the control room. Coordinate production requests.
Qualifications/Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree and working knowledge of financial and/or business news, political news, and hard news content. Strong knowledge of Microsoft office and newsroom systems including iNews.
Knowledge of video editing preferred but not required. Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under deadline pressure. Solid written and verbal communication skills and an ability to work independently.
Desired Characteristics
Willingness to learn new technologies. Ideal candidates will be highly organized and accurate by nature. Knowledge of the CNBC news systems is a plus. Wall Street/financial background is also a plus.
