CNBC Digital seeks writer/producer

CNBC Digital is seeking a writer and producer of high-quality business news content for its digital platform. Must locate, research write and produce series of headline stories for dissemination on CNBC.com.

Develop and produce news segments. Work independently with guidance. Find compelling stories. Secure elements such as sound bites and video to support segments.

Qualifications/Requirements

Minimum of 3 years experience producing and writing in a live television, print news or Internet related environment with a demonstrated writing ability.
Knowledge of financial markets with a background in business news.
The successful candidate will be fully grounded in both writing business news on tight deadlines and analytical pieces.
The position requires early mornings, late nights and weekend shifts as needed.
Must be able to work in Englewood Cliffs, NJ

Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
