CNBC digital is looking for a Senior Producer to join its growing original video team. In this role, the Senior Producer will work hand-in-hand with a team of producers to conceive and execute dynamic video content. The ideal candidate will possess a depth of experiences in digital media, be comfortable in a leadership role, and constantly challenge the status quo in creating dynamic video.
Responsibilities could include, but are not limited to:
• Rapidly producing original video, prototyping new video executions and assisting with shoot production
• Providing constructive production and editorial feedback
• Coaching & motivating junior producers to create their best work
• Acting as the hub for innovation and digital video production knowledge
• Participating in editorial meetings and representing the original video team to the greater organization
• Coordinating with partners across all CNBC platforms to create a consistent digital video execution
• Evaluating pitches and content ideas with the Supervising Producer
• Collaborating with CNBC Digital editors to develop sponsored video content
• Partnering with reporters to create visual executions to a myriad of interesting concepts
Qualifications/Requirements
• Four year college degree with course work/major emphasis on communications, TV/Web production, journalism or multimedia studies
• At least 5 years of experience producing digital video content at a major news network or online news publication
• Must have expert level experience with all aspects of digital video production including, producing, shooting, editing and lighting
• Expert level experience producing/editing on Final Cut Pro/Adobe Premiere and shooting on DSLRs and Cinema Cameras
• Demonstrated knowledge of online production and multimedia storytelling, and working knowledge of online publishing systems and technologies
• Broad knowledge of current events and financial news
• Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Demonstrate organizational and time management skills and work well under deadline pressure
• Must be able to lift, carry and transport heavy production equipment on a regular basis
