CNBC.com is seeking a digital news associate at its Englewood Cliffs, N.J., headquarters.
Responsibilities
– Assist in the production of daily video news segments on CNBC.com and other digital platforms.
– Must work in conjunction with writer/producer in the creative execution and delivery of daily video news stories.
– Understand breaking news and be able to prioritize production as needed.
– Job function includes (but not limited to) the gathering of video and graphics, line producing elements in a live control room and assisting the segment producer in sourcing stories for daily production.
– The role also includes writing stories as needed based on daily news demands and breaking news events.
– Assist writer/producer in the development and production of original video content including (but not limited to) day-of stories, features, premium content and weekly video franchises/series
Qualifications/Requirements
– Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in producing and writing in a live TV, print news or digital environment along with demonstrated writing ability.
– Knowledge of financial markets with a background in business news.
– Must be able to multi-task and under tight, daily deadline requirements.
– Strong communication skills and team player.
– Working knowledge of major social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Vine etc).
– Position requires early morning, late night, overnight and weekend shifts as needed.
– Ability to shoot original content using DSLR cameras and edit video on Adobe Premiere and/or Final Cut is preferred
– Must be able to work in Englewood Cliffs, NJ.
