CNBC Digital is seeking a reporter with a strong background in financial markets for a role writing CNBC.com’s daily markets story.
The markets writer is at the literal and figurative center of the newsroom, following the action on U.S. equity markets from pre-market action to after-hours trading.
The successful candidate will be familiar with stock, commodity and currency markets, and have the ability to weave all of them into one cohesive story, updated at least a half-dozen times a day. The candidate will also have some grounding with web production, and a proven ability to learn and adapt to new content management systems.
Requirements include:
Willingness to travel and work overtime, and on weekends with short notice
Must be willing to work in Englewood Cliffs, N.J.
Must be willing to submit to a background investigation
Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
Must be 18 years or older.
