CFO Journal seeks news editor in London

The news editor will be the lead writer for The Morning Ledger, CFO Journal’s daily newsletter, combing through a wide range of news sources to provide readers with a one-stop shop of essential information to start their day.

The editor will also contribute to and edit The Morning Download, CIO Journal’s daily newsletter, and contribute to Risk & Compliance Journal’s daily newsletter. The editor also will oversee the distribution of all three newsletters daily.

The editor is also responsible for updating the homepages for CFO Journal and CIO Journal and making sure the news on those sites is tailored to the needs of finance and tech professionals.

The editor also will play a key role editing stories from CFO Journal reporters in New York. Because the newsletters go out at 7 a.m EST, this editor’s day starts at 7 a.m. local time.

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
