Central Penn Business Journal seeks web editor

The Central Penn Business Journal, an award-winning leader in online and print business journalism for the greater Harrisburg area, is seeking an experienced journalist and web editor who can help support, manage and grow our digital audience.

The Journal’s professional culture stands out in this industry. We are looking for a leader to join our team.

This ideal candidate thrives on deadlines and a fast-paced online environment, while also paying close attention to the details: engaging SEO headlines, social media trends and website development.

You must be able to write compelling stories that our Central Penn audience has come to expect: Enterprising work on business trends and stories that decision makers can use to grow their business.

You’ll be expected to write quick web updates, curate online content and continue to grow our newsletters and other successful and popular online products.

Specifically, we are looking for someone who has:

Excellent communication skills. You will be working with a variety of people in the news organization – reporters, website designers and editors, just to name a few.

The desire to collaborate: It’s important to be able to work well with many departments in the company.

An eye for following the analytics. What do our readers want? How can we help them find it?

If interested, contact Managing Editor Cathy Hirko, cathyh@cpbj.com.
