Central Penn Business Journal seeks reporter

The Central Penn Business Journal, a leading publisher of digital and print content for the business community in Central Pennsylvania, is looking for an experienced journalist to lead our York County coverage area efforts.

The award-winning Journal’s mission is to guide the conversation for the business community, whether that communication is in person — events, roundtables and symposiums — or through digital and print communication. We help recognize business leaders for their accomplishments, provide marketing solutions for our clients and uncover the business news that drives our local economy.

The York reporter will collaborate with team members throughout the company, write stories that affect the midstate and cover the various needs of the competitive manufacturing, nonprofit and higher-education beats. We need someone who is a natural self-starter, can work independently and is able to juggle multiple responsibilities at any given time.

The ideal candidate will have proven news judgment and experience with reporting and writing on many types of platforms. We also need someone with the curiosity to try new digital tools and an understanding of the news and data needs of a business-to-business market. You’ll help generate online content for our website and print publications.

Please send a resume, cover letter and three writing examples to CPBJ managing editor Cathy Hirko at chirko@cpbj.com.
