Central Penn Business Journal and Lehigh Valley Business, both serving business professionals for over 30 years are seeking an Executive Editor to join our award-winning news organization covering business, and state government in central and eastern Pennsylvania. What skills does the job require?
- Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, or a related field
- 5+ years of editorial management and leadership experience.
- Niche product experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of business and state government news coverage
- Strong computer skills and digital news management. Including but not limited to: Word, Microsoft Excel, Adobe InCopy, WordPress, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Reader and Acrobat, and internet research skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Experience with public speaking
- Ability to build strong relationships with key business leaders.

- Managing the vision for our brands and developing new growth opportunities.
- Building paid subscribers and audience through essential, unique content.
- Managing a small but nimble newsroom
- Managing the content, navigability and readership growth of our websites
- Continually working on features and innovations to serve readers and build paid audience.
- Serving as one of the hosts and thought leaders for webinars, roundtables and live and virtual events.
- Keeping on top of industry innovations and trends.
- Maintaining the highest standards of professional ethics.
- Working closely with the group publisher / sales manager to create products to grow revenue and our brand.
