Central Penn Business Journal seeks a reporter

The Central Penn Business Journal is seeking an experienced multimedia journalist to join and grow with our award-winning editorial team.

Specifically, this position will monitor and cover real estate, construction and development. The topics are key to the main sectors that we cover — and crucial to our readers.

The ideal candidate needs to be a multi-talented reporter, someone who can juggle the immediate news needs of the midstate region, but also work on longer-term investigative projects. Our coverage area targets the Harrisburg, York and Lancaster markets, but your work will also reach our readers in the greater Lehigh Valley.

Our team is looking for someone who wants to break news, thrives in a fast-paced environment and loves to experiment on how to effectively reach our audience — want to start a podcast, film a business roundtable? Let’s figure it out. Experience with reporting, writing, podcasting, video and photography preferred.

We are a tight-knit team, but we have the much-needed corporate/regional support that enables the right candidate to grow internally. We thrive on an entrepreneurial spirit: You will work hard, but love the work.

Why would you want to consider applying to this position? The Journal does great work. Our company culture is friendly, yet challenging. Your work will make a difference to the industries and communities you cover.

If interested, shoot us an email/cover letter explaining why you are the best candidate for the position, Include your resume.
