Central Penn Biz Journal seeks special projects editor

Central Penn Business JournalThe Central Penn Business Journal, a leading publisher of digital and print content for the business community in Dauphin, Cumberland, Lebanon, Lancaster and York counties is looking for a special project editor to support marketing, sales and editorial teams at its Harrisburg office.

The award-winning Journal’s mission is to guide the conversation for the midstate business community, whether that communication is in person — events, roundtables and symposiums — or through digital and print communication. We help recognize business leaders for their accomplishments, provide marketing and sales solutions for our clients and uncover the business news that drives our local economy.

Key responsibilities for the special project editor include collecting, writing and organizing content for CPBJ’s digital and print marketing efforts with the goal of developing digital and print clients and growing our audience.

The special project editor needs to be a self-starter and collaborate with all facets of the company: vendors, sales, events, marketing and editorial teams. Proven editing and writing skills are a must as well as knowledge of online content management systems, Photoshop and social media tools.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a 2-year degree in digital media, communications, journalism or English and/or equivalent experience in a digital media environment. Experience in customer service and sales is a plus.
