Central Penn Biz Journal seeks digital content specialist

Central Penn Business Journal, Lehigh Valley Business and Central Penn Parent are seeking a Digital Content Specialist to provide vision and strategy and to execute our digital-first editorial, marketing and sales content.

This regional role would work closely with editorial, advertising, audience development, marketing and events to create and coordinate robust local business and marketing content for all three sites. The position can be based in our Harrisburg or Lehigh Valley office.

The ideal candidate will have 2 to 4 years of digital marketing and newsroom experience, an understanding of HTML, CSS, WordPress, email newsletter management and experience working in social media, digital marketing and analytics.

The right person for this position will have a passion for detail and for growing audience through paid subscriptions, event nominations and attendance, email newsletters and targeted content. He/she must understand digital, print and in-person marketing and have the ability and creativity to produce effective email marketing, digital ads, social media campaigns and track and analyze results.

The Digital Content Specialist also will work closely with editors and reporters to improve digital content, provide training, enhance the quality of our websites and implement ideas to increase online readership based on analytics and marketing trends.

This position is responsible for growing our social media presence and providing expectations and training to staff for social media. This role embraces and effects change: He/she will always be focused on up-to-date, essential digital content for our readers.

The right person will work closely with the editors, event team, corporate IT team and other digital editors across our company to improve design and user experience and to implement new ideas to grow readers and users.

The ability to handle a busy workload and meet daily deadlines is a must.  If you want to join a creative and energetic team that celebrates success and honors the Harrisburg area and Lehigh Valley business leaders, this is the right job for you. We offer competitive compensation with a generous benefits package. BridgeTower Meida and all subsidiaries are an Equal Opportunity Employer and value diversity in the workplace.
