THE OPPORTUNITY
Centerfield is looking for a freelance copy editor to join our content team. Your primary duties will include proofreading and editing articles and reviews of products and services. You will work primarily with the copy chief to deliver compelling, quality content to our readers. We are seeking a professional copy editor who will edit content for clarity and proper usage, is well-versed in AP style, and will ensure our content meets the needs of our readers and our sites. Familiarity with SEO would be helpful.

You may be asked to submit samples of your copy editing work. There is an editing test for qualified candidates. Note: This is a remote position. While weekly hours will vary depending on business needs, generally speaking, the copy editor will need to have the capacity to work up to at least 30 hours on a given week, if necessary. They should also be available to work primarily during normal Pacific Standard Time business hours (8 a.m.-5 p.m.).
Pay rate is $30-$35, based on skills and experience.
