Content Writers (Long-Term / 20+ hrs per week / Remote)

Are you an experienced content writer or journalist? Do you enjoy helping people understand complex topics like technology and Medicare with your stellar writing skills?

If so, you might be a great fit for Centerfield Media!

The right candidates will receive writing projects on a consistent basis with a pay rate of $30-$35/hr.

Requirements:

  • A knowledge and passion for consumer technology
  • Extremely sharp writing skills and the ability to write in various “voices” (especially conversational voice/tone)
  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in journalism, English, or media communications)
  • Ability to write and submit tasks on tight deadlines
  • Availability of 20-40 hrs. per week
  • Team player who takes feedback well
  • Desire to work in digital media
  • 3-5 writing samples (bonus points if you have a portfolio of works)

About the Role:

This role involves testing and writing about medical alert systems, cell phones, hearing aids, and other forms of technology tailored to older adults. Topics covered also include senior living, care, and housing, along with Medicare and insurance for seniors. Think long-form reviews and how-to guides. Other tasks would be improving existing articles, fact-checking content, etc.

If hired, you’ll be working remotely with a close-knit team of hardworking individuals who are all working to create one of the best consumer guides available online. Our management style is very “trust and support,” meaning that you should thrive in an environment where the entire team is working to make sure you’re productive, but no one is going to tell you exactly what to do or how to do it.

If you think you have what it takes, we look forward to hearing from you!

Send your application materials (short cover letter, resume, and three writing samples) to Taylor at tshuman@centerfield.com with ‘WRITER’ in the subject line.
