CBS News and Stations seeks a muti skilled journalist, KCNC-TV

KCNC/TV is looking for an aggressive and creative MMJ. If your passion is serving your community through great journalism, then we are the newsroom for you. Ideal candidate must love breaking news and in-depth story telling.

Responsibilities:

  • Report scripted and unscripted, with clarity, accuracy, and confidence/cover breaking news with a sense of urgency
  • Conduct compelling in person interviews
  • Collaborate effectively with a wide range of personnel to create compelling content/ Develop and execute enterprise content on a consistent basis
  • Manage and maintain a steadfast commitment to accuracy and fairness
  • Write clearly and interestingly and use video and graphics to illustrate facts and ideas in the story/shoot, write and edit packages for daily newscasts
  • Strong live shot skills a must
  • Generate story ideas and participate in editorial meetings/Produce content for social media and streaming service
  • Appear at public and station events, as required/Establish and maintain relationships/sources in the community

Qualifications:

  • Ideal candidate must love breaking news and in-depth story telling
  • Three years of experience on air, preferably in a top 20 market
  • Must be able to work independently with a high degree of accuracy and have the ability to tackle problems quickly
  • Must have a very strong social media skills and able to contribute on all platforms
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, holidays & ON CALL shifts
  • College Degree required or equivalent experience
