Responsibilities:
- Report scripted and unscripted, with clarity, accuracy, and confidence/cover breaking news with a sense of urgency
- Conduct compelling in person interviews
- Collaborate effectively with a wide range of personnel to create compelling content/ Develop and execute enterprise content on a consistent basis
- Manage and maintain a steadfast commitment to accuracy and fairness
- Write clearly and interestingly and use video and graphics to illustrate facts and ideas in the story/shoot, write and edit packages for daily newscasts
- Strong live shot skills a must
- Generate story ideas and participate in editorial meetings/Produce content for social media and streaming service
- Appear at public and station events, as required/Establish and maintain relationships/sources in the community
Qualifications:
- Ideal candidate must love breaking news and in-depth story telling
- Three years of experience on air, preferably in a top 20 market
- Must be able to work independently with a high degree of accuracy and have the ability to tackle problems quickly
- Must have a very strong social media skills and able to contribute on all platforms
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, holidays & ON CALL shifts
- College Degree required or equivalent experience
