Buyouts seeks reporters to cover private equity

Are you a news hound with ink in your veins and an incessant, perhaps pathological need to know what is going on and to tell everyone about it? Do you like trading news and information all day with often press-shy sources? Do you enjoy staring at charts for hours, poring over documents written in legalese, desperately searching for that one nugget of key information everyone else missed?

If so, you may have come to the right place.

Buyouts Insider, publisher of Buyouts Magazine, Venture Capital Journal and the daily PE Hub Wire, is looking for reporters to cover private equity deals and the loans that finance them. You’ll write breaking news, opinion pieces and feature stories for Buyouts Magazine and its companion website. You’ll moderate panels at networking events that we host around the country.

Candidates should have the following qualifications:

* Three to five years of business writing experience or equivalent

* Fluency in the language of finance, if not private equity and M&A

* Bachelor’s degree or higher

Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune.
