Business in Vancouver seeks multimedia reporter

Business in Vancouver has an immediate opening for a journalist able to create and present across broadcast, online and print media to join our team as a Multimedia Journalist located in Vancouver, BC.

Be a part of the Business in Vancouver team within Glacier Media. This position offers a competitive salary and benefits and a work environment focused on positive collaboration that values your ideas and experience.

Responsibilities include:

  • Producing and editing video to serve new BIV news needs and regular awards events
  • Participating as a co-host or contributor on a new BIV weekday radio program
  • Contributing to biv.com as a writer and occasional producer
  • Contributing to the print edition of BIV as a regular writer
  • Contributing to a new BIV weekly podcast

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
