Boston Globe seeks biotech/pharma reporter

Boston Globe Media is looking for a biotech and pharma reporter for a new publication dedicated to covering the life sciences. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in science or medical journalism and experience covering the biotechnology sector or pharmaceutical industry for a daily news organization.

We’re looking for energetic  and enterprising beat reporters with a strong track record of generating good  ideas and turning them into compelling stories.  Candidates must be productive and versatile, skilled at both quick-turnaround daily news and deeply reported enterprise stories. Experience working with multi-media teams to come up with creative ways to package reporting would be a plus.

The new publication will cover innovation in Boston and beyond for a national audience. This is a start-up publication, so flexibility, team spirit and a willingness to innovate are essential.
