BostInno seeks a reporter

July 20, 2021

Posted by Chris Roush

The Boston Business Journal is looking for reporter to write, report and edit a daily newsletter covering innovation and early-stage technologies. This writer will be main point of contact for BostInno, covering the startup and early-stage financing ecosystem in the region. The writer will be leading BostInno’s daily newsletter and contributing editorial to BostInno.com.

The ideal candidate brings exceptional journalism skills — source building, sharp news judgment, interviewing prowess, strong analytical and investigative reporting, clear writing, document use – and strong digital-content sensibility. Whatever the platform, this reporter will produce content that is accompanied by perspective and context for one of the nation’s hottest startup economies: A vibrant audience of entrepreneurs, business owners, executives and professionals.

Specifically, this reporter will cover Boston’s startup, technology and innovation economy, producing everything from scoops about established companies, startups and entrepreneurs, to sophisticated analysis of the issues that affect the industry, to savvy, important coverage of the executives, ideas and characters who make it go. They will oversee coverage of Rhode Island and assist with freelance-writer management to cover that state’s innovation ecosystem.

The audience for this reporter runs from startup founder to long-tenured CEOs, executives at every level in between, and everyone who wants to know and/or do business with them.
