Bloomberg News seeks an experienced reporter to cover venture capital out of New York.
The individual will be expected to break news on and conduct analysis of the biggest venture-capital investments and exits of the year in a competitive, high-profile beat. There will be emphasis on being the first to report on financings and valuations for companies ranging from Uber to Squarespace to Handy.
This position requires a reporter who understands the process and can build sources close to deals and quickly get up to speed on new companies and industries. Many trips to California will be part of the job to meet VC funds, their investors and the companies they support.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
-Minimum of three years of business and financial journalism
-Experience working in a real-time news environment
