Bloomberg News is seeking a bureau chief in Vancouver to help expand and oversee coverage of British Columbia.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter, able to identify compelling stories about companies, the economy and politics in the western Canadian province. The individual must have a proven ability to write clear, comprehensive stories and to break news and produce enterprise pieces. The ability to work under real-time deadline pressure, make quick news judgments and work well in a team environment is essential.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience is required
Previous journalism experience is essential
Knowledge of companies and financial markets is an asset
Experience working in a real-time news environment is desirable
