Bloomberg seeks telecom/media reporter in Paris

Bloomberg News seeks a well-sourced reporter to cover the rapidly shifting world of telecommunications and media based in Paris.

The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to break news on big personalities who are reshaping the industry.

The successful applicant will join a team of seasoned reporters covering media, telecommunications and entertainment in EMEA. They will work closely with their colleagues to break news, identify trends and generate smart, essential enterprise that shapes the way readers understand the industry.

The ideal candidate will produce elegant, camera-ready prose and juggle feature deadlines with the daily demands of a real-time news service.

Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
-Previous financial or business journalism experience required
-Knowledge of the industry preferred
-Experience of working in a real-time news environment
-Ability to write quickly and clearly under deadline pressure
-Fluency in English and French

He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
