Bloomberg News seeks an experienced editor to join its fast-moving team covering technology companies, issues and personalities in San Francisco.
This award-winning team uses the range of Bloomberg platforms-including the terminal, website, magazines, and broadcast-to tell the story of how the world’s biggest Internet, hardware, software and mobile companies are navigating a changing marketplace, setting new trends and transforming the business and financial worlds.
Top applicants will have a proven track record of deftly editing breaking news stories under deadline pressure as well as digging into longer, more nuanced enterprise stories, ensuring all are clear, comprehensive and accurate.
The ideal candidate will be able to generate and shape compelling story ideas, while attracting and nurturing top journalistic talent. He or she is a clear communicator capable of interacting and collaborating with teams across Bloomberg.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
-Ability to work in a real-time news environment and exercise news judgment under tight deadline
-Proven career in business journalism with experience in quick turnaround of breaking news
-Excellent editing skills
-Minimum of three years’ experience in business and financial journalism
-Knowledge of U.S. technology market and companies preferred
