Bloomberg seeks an energetic, assertive reporter to cover emerging technology across Northern and Western Europe.
He or she will be responsible for the region’s vibrant startup scene, including prominent companies, such as Spotify, Rovio, Truecaller and BlaBlaCar. This person will also identify and write about little-known yet highly disruptive newer companies, the entrepreneurs who run them and investors who fund and advise them. Areas of coverage include the competitive clash between upstarts and established players and the culture of disruption in emerging tech hubs in cities such as London, Paris, Stockholm and Amsterdam.
The ideal candidate will possess outstanding writing and reporting skills, a passion for scooping the competition and the skepticism needed to see through hype. He or she will contribute to a range of Bloomberg platforms – from the terminal to the website, magazines to broadcast outlets – to tell the story of how technology is upending European society and business.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
-Previous financial or business journalism experience
-Background in business and financial journalism
-Experience working in a real-time news environment
