Bloomberg seeks an editor/team leader to manage a newly formed team of reporters covering innovation and emerging technology across Europe and the Middle East.
Based in cities across the region, the group will write about the most promising startups, the entrepreneurs who run them and investors who fund and advise them. This team will use a range of Bloomberg platforms — from the terminal to the website, magazines to broadcast – to tell the story of how technology is revolutionizing European business and society.
It will take our audiences inside the culture of disruption in emerging tech hubs; chart the competitive clash between upstarts and established players; and chronicle efforts by regulators to curb perceived threats to privacy and competition.
The ideal candidate will have a record of deftly editing copy and generating and developing compelling story ideas while also attracting and nurturing top journalistic talent. He or she is a clear communicator capable of collaborating with a broad range of teams in far-flung locales.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
-Previous financial or business journalism experience
-Proven editing and management experience
-Background in business and financial journalism
-Experience working in a real-time news environment
