Bloomberg seeks team leader to run Americas deals team

Bloomberg News seeks a Team Leader to run the Americas Deal Team, managing a group of 11 reporters and editors.

The person in this role will be based in New York and report to the Managing Editor for Global Deals.

The TL will have responsibility for overseeing our breaking news coverage on M&A, IPOs, activists and private equity. They will also generate enterprise on Wall Street and the deal community. Responsibilities will include shaping ideas, editing copy, coaching and mentoring reporters, and interacting with fellow managers across the organization.

The successful applicant will be able to maintain a drama-free environment and help reporters deliver market-moving, breaking news under deadline pressure.

Qualifications:
-Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
-Minimum of five years of experience in business journalism
-Experience working in a real-time news environment
-Knowledge of the economy, financial markets, and Wall Street is essential
