Bloomberg seeks reporters and editors in China

Bloomberg is seeking Reporters and Editors for roles in Beijing and Shanghai to tell the China story to a sophisticated and discerning global audience. Successful candidates will be self-starters who thrive in a team environment and are able to meet real-time deadlines.

Knowledge of economics, financial markets and business is key. The ability to break news and produce exclusive stories is essential.

The Requirements

– Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is required
– Experience working in a real-time news environment
– Knowledge of the economy, financial markets and business
– Chinese-language ability required for reporters, preferred for editors
– Attention to detail and great communications skills

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
