Bloomberg seeks reporter for newsletter operation

Bloomberg LP is seeking an experienced reporter for its newsletter division, Bloomberg Brief.

The ideal candidate will have a broad network of connections, curiosity and knowledge about a variety of financial topics, and a demonstrated ability to build strong sources in the financial community. The reporter will conduct smart interviews that can be used for stories, Q&As and podcasts. The topic range will be broad and include mergers, bankruptcy, and corporate financial risk management.

Bloomberg Brief publishes 19 newsletters that provide unique data, original content and commentary on topics including economics, hedge Funds, mergers, and financial regulation. We also publish real-time economic analysis.

Qualifications:
-Experience working at financial newsletters or newswires
-Experience writing about financial markets on deadline
-Proficiency in Excel and knowledge of or interest in interactive content
– Contacts in financial markets
– Broad knowledge of corporate finance
– Knowledge of the Bloomberg terminal and some radio/TV or podcast experience a plus
