Bloomberg News is seeking an experienced editor to be based in our London bureau to join a team covering real estate in Europe and the Middle East.
Successful applicants should have considerable business reporting, writing or editing experience, with a background in financial journalism. They should also have an understanding of what drives the property industry and a commitment to speed and accuracy in editing breaking news. The role involves editing news about European and Middle East real estate companies and enterprise stories about the biggest issues in the industry.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is essential
-Experience of reporting or editing in a real-time news environment, with exceptional communication skills
-An ability or previous experience of coaching and mentoring reporters to get the best out of their stories is essential
-Experience in financial journalism is essential and a background in real estate an advantage
-A thorough attention to detail and ability to assimilate new, complex financial information
-Knowledge of the economy, markets, business
-Fluency in English is essential and any other languages an advantage.
