Bloomberg seeks Paris bureau chief

Bloomberg News is seeking a bureau chief in Paris to oversee and expand coverage of France’s financial markets, economy, government, companies and banks.

The successful candidate will manage reporters and editors with the goal of making Bloomberg’s coverage the most influential in the country. The individual must be driven and used to operating in a challenging environment. They must be able to write and edit clear and comprehensive stories with a proven ability to regularly break news and produce enterprise pieces.

Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience is required
-Previous business journalism experience is essential
-Experience of working in a real-time news environment
-Fluency in English and French

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
