Bloomberg seeks oil editor in New York

Bloomberg News is seeking editors for its First Word Oil service as it expands coverage of physical oil markets in the Americas and Europe. This position will be based out of our New York office.

Candidates will have experience analyzing oil markets globally, with in-depth knowledge of Europe and/or the Americas. They must have deep and broad contacts in the trader community and be able to write for that audience. The individual will be responsible for providing fast and concise breaking news on oil flows, supply, demand, arbitrages and their impact on prices.

Knowledge of Bloomberg’s energy functions and data is a plus.

All candidates must have strong writing skills and will be expected to develop new contacts.

Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
-Minimum of three years of oil markets experience
-Strong work ethic, team player, ability to work calmly in high-pressure environment
