Bloomberg seeks natural gas reporter in London

Bloomberg News seeks an experienced reporter to cover the U.K. and continental natural gas markets from its London office.

The successful candidate will have a proven ability to break news in Europe’s energy markets, considerable business reporting, writing or editing experience and a background in European energy markets reporting.

Candidates will be able to show a commitment to accuracy and speed in writing breaking news under deadline pressure. He or she will join a team of reporters and editors covering power, gas, emissions and coal markets, with colleagues based in London and across Europe.

Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
-Experience working in a real-time news environment, with reporting or editing experience and exceptional communication skills.
-Knowledge and experience of covering the U.K. and European gas markets desirable.
-A thorough attention to detail and ability to assimilate new and highly technical information.
-Knowledge of the economy, markets, business.
-Fluency in English is essential with any other languages an advantage.
