Bloomberg News seeks an experienced reporter to cover mergers and acquisitions out of our Toronto bureau.
The individual will join a strong team that is focused on breaking the biggest M&A deals of the year in a competitive, high- profile beat. Stories will range from private-equity buyouts to corporate mergers to hostile takeovers.
Knowledge of financial markets is essential, as is the ability to develop sources and write clearly while working in a no-drama team environment. Applicants must have the ability to handle sensitive, market-moving information with confidential sources.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
-Minimum three years of business and financial journalism.
-Experience working in a real-time news environment.
-Bay Street contacts are a plus
