Bloomberg seeks late shift breaking news stocks reporter

Bloomberg News is seeking an editor in our San Francisco or New York office to work for its First Word service.

The role involves editing and writing fast, concise stories on breaking mergers and acquisitions, earnings, IPOs, and other market-moving corporate events. Candidates must be effective team players who thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
-Knowledge of U.S. equities, financial markets
-Ability to write quickly and concisely under deadline pressure
-Knowledge of Bloomberg’s terminal functions is desirable

Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
