Bloomberg News is seeking an experienced editor to work on an international government news desk in Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate will have a background editing in real-time or daily deadline environment, and a proven ability to work across department lines.
He/she will be expected to deal with a variety of breaking news stories from our government teams all around the world.
Excellent news judgment and a commitment to accuracy are essential for this role. The ideal candidate must be flexible and able to adapt to the shifting demands of a major global news organization. The position will require weekend duty.
Qualifications:
-Substantial editing experience at major newspapers or wire services
-Experience working abroad is preferable
-Demonstrated leadership ability
-Knowledge of the Bloomberg terminal a plus
