Bloomberg News is seeking a seasoned manager in the U.S. to run a global business group covering airlines and the biggest industrial companies in the region, including General Electric.
The successful applicant would set priorities for the team and be responsible for breaking news and generating trend stories on subjects ranging from transactions in the industry, ownership changes, executive moves and investigations into major corporate strategy changes.
The job is part of our global business group and requires active collaboration with our teams worldwide and other divisions within news. The successful applicant will work to deliver news stories under deadline pressure and assist with broader coverage to ensure copy is clear, accurate and compelling.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
-Ability to work in a real-time news environment and apply swift news judgment
-Proven career in business journalism with experience in quick turnaround of breaking news
-Excellent editing skills
-Previous leadership experience
