Bloomberg seeks hedge fund reporter

Bloomberg Brief publishes 19 newsletters that provide unique data, original content and commentary on topics including Economics, Hedge Funds, Mergers, and Financial Regulation.

We publish a hedge fund newsletter twice a week. These are publications aimed at people working in the industry, with exclusive information about new firms launching funds, investors hiring hedge funds, and hedge fund performance and trends.

The reporter on this title will write four to five exclusive stories a week, primarily about new firms and funds as well as new mandates. The emphasis is on short exclusives, not long features. The reporter also will interview top fund managers and produce a weekly Q&A.

Qualifications:
-Must be knowledge in the industry and be well-sourced among investors and hedge funds
-Experience working in a real time news environment is desireable
-Experience covering asset management is essential
-Willingness to travel
-Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
