Bloomberg News seeks an editor to join its Asia-Pacific Finance team.
Responsibilities include generating and shaping ideas, editing copy, coaching and mentoring reporters and interacting with fellow editors on the team and across the organization. Knowledge of the banking and private equity industries and financial regulation is preferred.
An understanding of the economy and financial markets is a plus. Business editing experience at a wire service or newspaper is essential. The successful applicant will be able to work with reporters to produce breaking news stories under deadline pressure, as well as longer in-depth features, ensuring all are clear, comprehensive and accurate.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
– Business editing experience at a wire service or newspaper.
– Ability to work well under pressure.
– Proven success in generating story ideas.
– Proven success in producing outstanding copy.
– Proven success in mentoring and coaching reporters.
– Editing experience.
– Knowledge of the economy, financial markets, and business.
– Fluency in Mandarin or Japanese a plus
