Bloomberg News is seeking a reporter/analyst to join our new Executive Pay team, based out of our New York office.
The person in this role will be a member of a U.S.-based team responsible for calculating the compensation of the country’s highest-paid executives. The job will entail creating and maintaining Bloomberg’s new PAY function, as well as breaking news and writing investigative stories for Bloomberg’s assorted media properties, including the Bloomberg Terminal, Bloomberg.com, Bloomberg Businessweek, Bloomberg Markets.
Qualifications
– Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, accounting, mathematics, statistics, journalism, or equivalent work experience
– Ideal candidate will have expert-level skills reading and interpreting SEC filings, as well as knowledge of compensation-related issues, including pay-for-performance and regulatory matters
– A keen eye for detail and an ability to manage large quantities of data accurately
– Ability to meet deadlines and logically tackle problems
– Commitment to enhancing and developing products
– Effective research, analysis, Excel, and communication skills
