Bloomberg seeks emerging markets reporter in Hong Kong

Bloomberg News seeks a reporter to work as part of our emerging markets team in Hong Kong.

The candidate will be required to cover the Hong Kong and Chinese currency and credit markets, producing daily reports under real-time deadline pressure as well as broader enterprise stories. A strong understanding of how financial markets operate is essential and solid business reporting experience at a major newspaper or wire service is preferred.

The Qualifications

– Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
– Journalism qualification is desirable
– Experience of working in a real-time news environment is a plus
– Experience covering financial markets is desirable as is knowledge of the economy and business
– 2 years of business reporting experience is required as are superior math skills and attention to detail
– Fluency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin is essential
