Bloomberg seeks editor to oversee financial crime coverage

Bloomberg News is seeking an experienced editor for financial crimes and enforcement in New York.

The editor will join a team responsible for exposing potential wrongdoing and conflicts of interest across the world of finance, breaking news on government investigations and analyzing the changing landscape of white-collar crime enforcement.

The ideal candidate will be ready to help experienced reporters develop stories, coordinate with other editors to move between handling deadline news and deeper investigations, and edit stories tailored to terminal, Web and magazine audiences.

Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience;
– At least 10 years writing and editing experience, or five years editing experience, at a major newspaper or wire service is preferred, as is a proven ability to distill complex information into articles and narratives that are engaging, clear and fair.
– The ideal candidate will have experience with investigative reporting, as well as an understanding of financial markets and the law-enforcement agencies, courts and regulators that oversee them.
