Bloomberg seeks editor for Europe companies

Bloomberg News is seeking a Team Leader for Europe Companies coverage in London. Responsibilities include managing a team of editors, generating and shaping ideas, editing copy, and interacting with fellow managers across the organization.

The successful applicant will be able to work with the team to produce breaking news stories under deadline pressure and assist with features, ensuring all are clear, comprehensive and accurate.

Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
-Ability to work in a real-time news environment and make quick news judgement
-Proven career in business journalism with experience in quick turnaround of breaking news
-Excellent editing skills
-Previous and strong leadership experience required
-Knowledge of the economy, financial markets, and business

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
