Bloomberg News is seeking a team leader for its coverage of economics in Africa.
The successful applicant will generate and shape ideas, edit copy and interact with fellow managers. The applicant must cover breaking news under deadline pressure, produce features and ensure clear, clean and comprehensive copy.
The candidate should be able to identify emerging trends and produce big-picture stories as well as ensure accurate coverage of high-frequency indicators, such as lending rate decisions.
Qualifications
-Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
-Ability to work in a real-time news environment
-Proven career in business journalism with experience in quick turnaround of breaking news
-Excellent editing skills
-An understanding of macroeconomics, financial markets and regional politics
