Bloomberg seeks deputy team leader in Hong Kong

Bloomberg News is seeking an experienced journalist in Hong Kong for the role of Deputy Team Leader, Asia Industries Team, as it expands coverage of the region’s aviation, shipping and infrastructure sectors.

Responsibilities include working with reporters to generate ideas and edit copies. The successful applicant must be able to handle breaking news stories under deadline pressure as well as edit long-form feature stories. The editor is also expected to understand the rising role of digital media and will work with reporters on making our stories must-reads for the broader social audience.

The Qualifications

– Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
– Excellent editing skills
– Ability to work in a real-time news environment and make quick news judgement
– Proven career in business journalism with experience in quick turnaround of breaking news stories and edit enterprise pieces
– Prior experience reporting/editing on industrial, aviation sectors is advantageous
– Prior experience in managing people is a plus
