Bloomberg seeks deputy news team lead for employment and labor coverage

Bloomberg is looking for a deputy news team lead, labor and employment to manager schedules and set deadlines, make reports and evaluate stories.

KEY DUTIES:

  • Manage assignments and stories from pitch to publication
  • Review, evaluate and edit stories
  • Work with the team leader to improve writing and reporting skills
  • Drive staffers to try new things and be open to change
  • Manage special projects

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent editing and story-management skills
  • Ability to unpack complicated legal and government actions
  • Knowledge of digital news and information publishing operations

EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years in journalism
  • Bachelor’s degree required
