Bloomberg seeks deals editor in London

Bloomberg News is seeking an experienced editor for its Deals team in Europe.

The editor would be working with reporters across the region on breaking news about corporate Mergers and Acquisitions and equity fund-raising, and helping coordinate coverage across industry teams and bureaus on high-profile deals.

The ideal candidate will have several years of experience editing stories about companies and/or financial markets and be able to produce clear, concise and accurate copy under deadline pressure. Experience editing feature stories and helping reporters develop their enterprise writing skills is also an advantage.

The editor will also be expected to serve as a mentor and coach to reporters and should be comfortable working within a team environment.

Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
-Knowledge of European Economies, financial markets, and business
-Previous experience in business journalism
-European Languages a plus
